Compliance
KELLY is committed to keeping our broker partners and clients apprised of all regulatory and legislative changes that could affect our administered benefits programs. The KELLY compliance department is comprised of long-term industry professionals with a combined 60 years of employee benefits experience. The KELLY compliance department is dedicated to understanding legislative and regulatory changes to employer benefits and communicating the impact to our broker partners and clients in a format that is easy to understand. The compliance department staff within KELLY routinely scans benefits and regulatory periodicals and websites to keep current on changes that are on the horizon, especially those that would impact our brokers' clients and our corporate clients.
As an added resource, KELLY utilizes the services of two law firms that specialize in ERISA and employment law. Part of their function is to provide us with information and implications of new developments in state and national healthcare issues. This includes tax issues and benefit issues, as well as other areas that could affect our clients. We also are members of the largest third-party administrator group, the Society of Professional Benefit Administrators (SPBA), which also keeps us informed on the state of benefits for our broker partners, clients and their employees.
KELLY encourages employees to attend regulatory and compliance seminars throughout the year to stay up to date on changes. KELLY has been approved by a number of state insurance agencies to teach Continuing Education Classes for licensed agents and routinely does so thru the state NAHU (National Association of Health Underwriters) chapters and SHRM (Society of Human Resource Management).
Enclosed with monthly billing and commission statements, KELLY provides news and information to our clients and broker partners, in addition to the direct communication from our sales department to broker partners and clients. Our compliance department also sends an electronic bulletin on a regular basis, which highlights important compliance information and legal notices.
The KELLY Bulletin Service is sent to our corporate clients, and regular email blasts as well as the KELLY Broker E-Update is sent to our broker partners to keep them current on the changing regulatory environment. If you’d like to sign up for the KELLY Bulletin Service, please CLICK HERE. Whenever new and important legislative issues arise, such as new COBRA legislation, the compliance department will issue special notices, bulletins, conduct seminars and webinars and hold face-to-face meetings to disseminate all necessary information to our broker partners and clients.
